TIOGA, Pa. (WETM)- Tyoga Container Inc. broke ground on a new expansion project Wednesday morning that will triple their current operating capacity.

The company, which manufactures packaging materials such as corrugated boxes and pallets, says the expansion will allow for improved production flow and additional manufacturing lines equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

Tyoga Container says the expansion will allow them to add 40 new jobs while preserving their current 109 employees. The project is expected to cost between $65-80 million and is the company’s 12th expansion in 51 years of business.

Phase 1 would include a renovation and conversion of the current 135,000 Sq. Ft. facility into a stand-alone manufacturing facility.
