TRICOR acquires Thimm Packaging Services

Rengo Co Ltd. and TRICOR Packaging & Logistics AG, one of Europe’s largest producers of standard and customer-specific industrial packaging solutions made of heavy corrugated board, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Thimm Packaging Systems, from the Thimm Group. The company further announced that Rengo, TRICOR’S Japanese parent company, released the relevant funds and approved the acquisition. Rengo is active in Europe with the TRICOR and Tri-Wall brands and is further expanding its presence in this market with the acquisition.

Thimm Packaging Systems is a leading supplier of multi-material packaging with seven locations in Germany and one location in the Czech Republic. The acquisition marks an important milestone for TRICOR, with the number of production and service locations growing from nine to seventeen as a result. TRICOR is thus further expanding its leading position in Europe.
