Smurfit Westrock will invest 300 million SEK in its paper mill in Piteå, Sweden. The investment includes a modernizing of mills recovery boiler, according to Piteå-Tidningen.
The investment means that the mill’s traditional, annual two-week inspection stop in the summer will now be one month long.
The existing recovery boiler has been in operation since 1972.
