Research from DS Smith identifies packaging types disrupting paper recycling streams

According to new research from DS Smith, junk mail, food trays, and pulp fruit trays are the top three most common difficult to recycle items placed in mixed or paper recycling streams, often containing plastics or food contamination that interferes with paper mill processes.

DS Smith conducted the research in partnership with YouGov and based on analysis from its Kemsley mill, the largest mill for recycled paper in the UK.
