Packrite, LLC has achieved G7® Master Facility Colorspace Certification from PRINTING United Alliance, marking another important step in the expansion of the company’s in-house capabilities and continuous improvement strategy. The certification follows the recent installation of Packrite’s new 8-color Koenig & Bauer Rapida 164 press.
“We now maintain greater control of the packaging process from print through finished package,” says Michael Drummond, CEO of Packrite. “Laminated single-face, diecutting, folding-gluing, and now the ability to print 7-color expanded gamut (CMYKOGV). This reinforces our one-stop-shop philosophy. By reducing our dependence on outside print and prepress suppliers we can help our customers minimize time-to-market, sustain a higher security level for new product introductions, and maintain a competitive advantage. And… Virtually no order is too large or small.”
G7 Master Facility Certification is an independently verified industry designation that demonstrates a print provider’s ability to consistently produce predictable, color-accurate output using standardized color-management and calibration practices. Colorspace compliance represents the most comprehensive level of G7 compliance, evaluating color performance across the full range of colors reproduced by the printing process.
Packrite’s new 8-color Koenig & Bauer Rapida 164 press combines advanced automation, including inline color control, and expanded-gamut printing to provide exceptional color accuracy and repeatability for high-graphic packaging applications.
For Packrite’s customers, the certification provides confidence that critical brand colors and graphics will reproduce accurately and consistently. Customers can expect predictable results from proof to press, greater consistency throughout a production run, and improved color matching across repeat orders and product families.
The G7 Master Facility Colorspace Certification, combined with Packrite’s investment in the Rapida 164, further strengthens the company’s ability to provide innovative packaging to brand owners and trade customers with color consistency, repeatability and print quality required for today’s high-impact corrugated packaging.
