Moore Packaging Installs Saber Knife: Continues to see improvements two months after installation

Moore Packaging in Barrie, Ontario, Canada installed a MarquipWardUnited Saber Knife from BW Papersystems on January 4, 2021. In the first two months since the installation, Moore Packaging has already seen significant operational improvements. 

“Downtime is significantly reduced for all reasons—jams, electricals etc,” said John Kent, Corrugator Technical Advisor. “Maintenance is far improved and easier to look after.”

Corrugator Superintendent, Rob Cochrane added, “The Knife is running trouble free.” 

The Saber Knife was installed on a 98 in corrugator with additional MarquipWardUnited components from BW Papersystems.  

The Saber Knife provides industry leading cut length vs speed capability while maintaining low power consumption levels. This high-performance knife has cut capability up to 450 MPM (1500 FPM) with excellent cut accuracy.
