International Paper and Graphic Solid Inks present DP@C, a CMYK in-line Digital Printing Solution

International Paper Company announces the launch of Digital Printing at the Customer, or DP@C. This digital printing solution for corrugated packaging, manufactured by Graphic Solid Inks (GSI), is a cutting-edge innovation that is being exclusively offered to International Paper customers.

DP@C brings digital printing operations in-house for our corrugated customers, offering them the ability to manage their production in real time while providing flexibility and cost savings on multiple fronts.

International Paper provides structurally sound boxes to the clients, while DP@C offers the industry-leading technology that brings brands to life by enhancing marketing opportunities to their customers.

Benefits include:

  • Reduces
  • Number of SKUs
  • Inventory levels
  • Tooling costs & plate changes
  • Maintenance costs
  • Product obsolescence
  • Needs for shipping labels (costs & obsolescence)
  • Increases
  • Uptime (lowers changeover time between runs)
  • Warehouse optimization & utilization
  • Enables
  • Customers to print on demand
  • Traceable/serializable data customers can utilize for commercial & operational information
  • Opportunities for on-box advertising and increased branding, personalized messaging and seasonal promotions
  • Clients to print code, graphics and variable data in-line

The NOLabel™ technology offers quality results with white ink where traditional inkjets cannot. This relieves customers of label costs, related maintenance and obsolescence, while simultaneously saving time between runs. The end result? A corrugated package with serialized information and scannable barcodes, every single time.

The most adaptable printing method available has become even more customizable by moving digital printing capabilities in-house. In addition to its black-and-white label replacement benefits, DP@C is available in Colorize CMYK 180 DPI (dots per inch) and CMYK 360 DPI, to bring a world of color to corrugated packages. The CMYK printers accurately print on up to six sides of erected boxes while they pass over conveyor belts with an ink “throw distance” of up to 1 inch. Not only does DP@C allow brand owners to customize messaging box by box, but every side of each box can render its own personalized message or high-quality graphic. This opens up countless on-box advertising opportunities to take advantage of valuable box real estate. Clients can seize promotional opportunities on-site with minimal turnaround time, ultimately saving warehouse space, reducing product obsolescence, and enhancing the consumer unboxing experience.
