The below post is from Kolbus America Inc:
We are sad to announce the passing of Fred Harrison, beloved founder of Hycorr Machines and early innovator in the corrugated industry. Fred’s relentless thirst for innovation was a founding principle for Hycorr Machines and has contributed to the current success of Kolbus America Inc.
He and his wife, Nan, were inducted into the AICC, The Independent Packaging Association Hall of Fame in 2007, for their work and contributions to the corrugated industry.
Here’s a list of a few of Fred’s noteworthy innovations:
– First U.S Manufacturer to Introduce the Reverse Angle Doctor Blade on Rotary Die Cutters (1985)
– First World Manufacturer to Invent & Introduce Automatic Cutting-Anvil Speed Compensator (1985)

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harrison family. Although Fred will be greatly missed, his legacy lives on. 🖤
