Family celebration for residents and employees: Around 3000 guests at the open day at Progroup’s paper mill in Sandersdorf-Brehna

On 29 May 2022, around 3000 guests took up Progroup’s invitation to attend the open day at the high-tech paper mill in Sandersdorf-Brehna. With superb weather and a relaxed atmosphere, the family-run company offered features including an impressive look behind the scenes to see how paper is produced

How exactly is paper made? All who were interested had the opportunity to pursue this question during the plant tour and in direct exchange with Progroup employees. The visitors took the chance to get first-hand information about Progroup’s state-of-the-art paper machine.

“We are delighted and proud that in total around 3000 neighbours and employees took up our invitation and shared the day with us. We want to work together to build on this successful start in the future and maintain close personal contact,” says Maximilian Heindl, deputy CEO of Progroup, who also enjoyed spending the day on site with his family.

Varied entertainment for all the family
At the family celebration at the PM3 site, guests took the opportunity to relax and talk to each other while enjoying food, drink and varied attractions for young and old alike. Regional clubs and partners helped to organise a variety of entertainment. The youngest guests let off steam on the bouncy castle or had their faces painted to transform them into colourful mythical creatures or wild pirates. Various musical acts also entertained the crowd on stage.
