Georgia-Pacific is the latest industry in Rome and Floyd County to reveal plans for a major upgrade to its facility, following companies like Profile Custom Extrusions, Mohawk, Bekaert and International Paper. WestRock St. Paul Recycling Center Damaged in Early Morning Fire

A recycling center in St. Paul was damaged in an overnight fire.

Thirteen fire apparatus and 64 firefighters tackled the blaze at WestRock, on the 2200 block of Wabash Avenue.

The fire was first reported just after midnight Thursday, with crews at the scene for three hours before the blaze was knocked down.

Crews Battle Fire for Hours at WestRock Florence County (SC) Plant

Crews battled a fire for nearly four hours Monday at WestRock plant on Paper Mill Road in Florence County, according to Windy Hill Fire Chief John DeLung.
