BOBST to showcase unique 3-in-1 MASTERCUT 1.65 PER at Corrugated Week 2022

BOBST will attend Corrugated Week 2022, taking place September 19-21 in San Antonio, Texas, to showcase its new 3-in-1 MASTERCUT 1.65 PER flatbed die-cutter.

The machine is completely unique, able to handle corrugated, carton and litho-laminated board without compromising productivity and quality, making it one machine for all jobs.

Attendees will find the BOBST team along with details about the MASTERCUT 1.65 PER at Booth 918.

“This will be an exciting opportunity to learn about a world-first machine,” said Emilio Corti, Region Business Director at BOBST. “The MASTERCUT 1.65 PER brings unrivaled versatility to the industry, a 3-in-1 machine able to process robust and delicate materials equally well, from 300g solid board to BC double wall litho-laminated, at speeds of up to 7,000 sheets per hour. Our customers have been asking for a machine with the capability to handle multiple substrates, while still offering the highest levels of productivity and production quality. That is exactly what we have delivered.”

The MASTERCUT 1.65 is the only solution in the market for blanking in size VII and offers the possibility to deliver single cut, double cut and full sheets. Its high-cutting force enables extremely precise and exceptional die-cutting quality, even for complex box designs

A unique top feeder guarantees scratch-free blanks and a feeding table with a dedicated pressing device has been tailored for careful processing of warped materials. With delicate and precise feeding, production stoppages are reduced to a minimum and blank quality is assured. A bespoke POWER REGISTER offers contactless and uniquely accurate sheet registration, guaranteeing folding carton register precision even for corrugated board.

“We are very excited to discuss this machine with attendees in San Antonio and discover the impact it could have on their business,” said Corti. “We truly believe this is game-changing technology for converters, giving them all the flexibility and versatility they need without sacrificing anything with quality and speed.”

We are one of the world’s leading suppliers of substrate processing, printing and converting equipment and services for the label, flexible packaging, folding carton and corrugated board industries.
