Baysek looking forward to first customer in the Netherlands

Akarton, a corrugated board converter based in Venlo, the Netherlands, has opted for a Baysek C-170 flatbed die cutter. The company was founded in 1992 and has grown continuously since then. Today, it employs around 65 employees. Specializing in short and medium runs was a decisive reason for choosing the flexible Baysek die cutter. The fast die changes ensure minimum downtimes.

Akarton produces constructive packaging for industrial customers with flexo printing and many die-cutting jobs, but it also produces commercial packaging (offset printing) for the retail trade. From simple E-flute over CAA-flute up to heavy 400g Kraftliner formats the whole range is processed.

In this way, Akarton is very broadly positioned and, in addition to customers in the Benelux countries, also serves customers throughout Germany, as well as in Eastern Europe, Dubai and Iceland. The building, including the warehouses, has an impressive floor space of 12,500 square meters. The machine is currently being transported from Wisconsin in the USA to Antwerp from which it will continue to be shipped over land by truck to Venlo.

The special feature of the machine is the fully stripped disposal waste via a vacuum system, even during the punching and stripping process. This requires only a single tool.

The die-cut material is counted and immediately deposited ready for shipment. As there is no further stripping or other manual work, the machine can be operated by just one operator.
