Amazon plans to build a 248,687-square-foot sorting warehouse in Georgetown, Texas, according to a July 6 Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
The sorting warehouse within Amazon’s fulfillment network will be equipped with robotic systems that bring items to employees for customer orders prior to being packaged and sent out, Amazon spokesperson Austin Stowe told Supply Chain Dive.
