Amazon posts highest e-commerce growth in over three years

The e-tailer saw a “major surge” in demand starting in early March, with customers partially focusing on essential goods like groceries and health products rather than segments like apparel, CFO Brian Olsavsky said on anĀ earnings call. This is directly related to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, which has encouraged consumers to stay home, order products online, and limit their visits to stores.
