AICC: Xperience E-Commerce for the Independent

Alexandria, VA –January 30 – AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, has secured representatives from six brands and developed nearly 20 general and workshop sessions for E-Commerce Xperience, the comprehensive conference on e-commerce for the packaging industry, to be held February 18- February 20, 2020, at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel in Irving, TX.

During more than 20 workshops and general sessions, this conference will take attendees beyond Amazon and help e-commerce packaging manufacturers and those looking to enter the market gain an in-depth understanding of the brand’s perspective, designing for e-commerce, and leveraging current capabilities to grow e-commerce business.

Andrew Hurley, Clemson University, will present Understanding Your Customer’s Customer – Packaging’s Influence at the Doorstep, which explains how to use facial expression data gathered during unboxing to reduce negativity, facilitate use, and nudge proper disposal of packaging, all while furthering positive brand equity.

Ron Sasine, Hudson Windsor, LLC, will review the overall direction of e-commerce, the anticipated growth of its three key distribution models, and the impact of this growth on the corrugated packaging market during E-Commerce Dynamics & Their Impact on Corrugated Demand.

In Turning Your Traditional Operations into an Agile E-Commerce Enabled Packaging Powerhouse, Michael Pelletier, Scaling Operations, LLC, will highlight the operational differences between successful e-commerce manufacturing operations and their conventional counterparts. It will then offer some strategies and their implications for companies considering a transition into high-efficiency digital manufacturing workflow operation.

Several national brands will also be represented during E-Commerce Xperience. Jared Butts, Senior Manager, Customer Supply Chain- Ecommerce, The Hershey Company will present Understanding Packaging in an E-Commerce Process. Joe Fernandez, Senior Packaging Engineer, Vera Bradley will explain Marketing E-Commerce Capabilities to Brands. Brand Identity and Packaging Experience will be discussed by Paul Chambers Co-Founder and CEO of the Subscription Trade Association and Paul Jarrett, Co-Found & CEO, Bulu Box.
