AICC: Tackle the Financial Realities of the Corrugated Industry

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, has opened registration School for Financial Managers and Controllers, to be held May 21-22, 2019, at AICC member W.H. Leary’s headquarters in Tinley Park, IL.

Taught by Mitch Klingher, CPA, Partner, Klingher Nadler, LLP, this popular seminar uses case studies to highlight issues that will give senior management a better understanding of a company’s financial strategy.

Katie Burke, Northeast Regional Account Manager, Tyoga Containers, said “with an engaging speaker, I learned a lot. I enjoyed the interactive activities and getting involved in the conversations rather than just sitting and listening.”

By reviewing situations at several fictional companies, including ABC Sheet Plant, Browncorr, and Crown Jewel Enterprises, participants discuss traditional financial reporting, contribution based reporting, issues specific to service-oriented manufacturing companies, the economics of paper and corrugated, and many other topics critical to the success of corrugated manufacturing companies.

Participants can earn up to a total of 15 hours of CPE Credits, issued by Klingher Nadler, LLP, as follows:

  • Accounting – 3 Hours
  • Management – 8 Hours
  • Specialized Knowledge & Applications – 4 Hours

Mitch heads up tax and consulting departments at the CPA firm of Klingher Nadler in Fort Lee, NJ. With over 30 years of diversified public accounting experience, he specializes in paper conversion and packaging businesses and has developed industry-specific financial courses, in conjunction with AICC, for owners, controllers, and other managers. He has written numerous papers for trade publications and is a regular speaker at AICC’s meetings. He also facilitates a number of CEO Groups. Mitch has an economics, and business degree from Lafayette College, Easton, PA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the NY State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
