AICC Recognizes Safety Excellence

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, recognized 14 member companies for outstanding performance in plant safety through the Independent Safe Shop Awards during the AICC 2019 Spring Meeting in Miami, FL. 

This annual recognition was given to member companies that had a 2018 OSHA Recordable Incident Rate less than 2.5 and 2018 OSHA Lost Work Days Incident Rate of zero. All rates (Recordable Incident Rate and the Lost Work Days Incident Rate) were calculated by AICC using a company’s signed OSHA 300A.

·         Jamestown Container Cleveland, Macedonia, OH

·         Jamestown Container, HP Nuen Division, Lyons, NY

·         Lawrence Paper Company, American Packaging Division, South Hutchinson, KS

·         McElroy Packaging, Inc., Orrville, OH

·         Wunderlich Fibre Box Company, St. Louis, MO

The winners were recognized at the AICC Spring Meeting in Miami, FL, on Wednesday, April 3. Additionally, each company received a plaque to display in their plant.
