AICC Members Bring their “A” Game

38th Annual West Coast Golf Tournament

AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, brought together nearly 70 AICC members for the 38th Annual West Coast Golf Tournament October 18 in Irvine, CA.

Attendees enjoyed perfect weather on the par-71 course amid canyons and wetlands which was developed by Doug DeCinces, former California Angel, and designed by Jim Lipe, award winning golf course architect.

The tournament was competitive fun ending in a tie for first and third place. A tiebreaker was needed to crown the winners. The first place team was made up of Chris Widera, California Box, and his guests. The Warren Packaging team of Phil Warren, Phillip Warren, Mike Dittenber, and Jimmy Kaleff took second place. Paul Stack, BW Papersystems, Chris Freebury, Neway Packaging, Don La Commare, Sharp International, and AICC’s own Patrick Moore took third.

The awards reception gave attendees time to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances. During the reception, Sahar Mehrabzadeh-Garcia, Bay Cities, was introduced as the new AICC Director for the West. She began her tenure in this position when she was elected to the Board of Directors during the recent AICC/ TAPPI Corrugated Week in Texas.

AICC thanks Pete Kobrak, BW Papersytems, for his support organizing the event and Paul Stack, BW Papersystems, for his support during the event, as well as the staff of Strawberry Farms.

Event sponsors included A.G. Stacker, Inc., Baysek Machines Inc, Bobst North America, BW Papersystems, Corru Kraft, Greene House Group, Haire Group, Inspire Automation, J.B. Machinery, Kolbus America, Olympic Wire and Equipment, and SUN Automation Group.
