AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, reminds member companies that there is still time to submit applications for the Independent Safe Shop Awards, an annual program recognizing AICC members for outstanding performance in plant safety.
The Independent Safe Shop Awards celebrate companies that have demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining safe workplaces for their employees. By participating, companies can showcase the safety achievements they have worked hard to accomplish while recognizing the employees and teams who contribute to maintaining a culture of safety.
The awards highlight organizations that have achieved excellent safety performance over the past year. Participation also helps generate greater awareness, enthusiasm, and pride within companies for the safety standards they uphold each day.
To qualify for the Independent Safe Shop Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- 2025 OSHA Recordable Incident Rate of less than 2.5
- 2025 OSHA Lost Work Days Incident Rate of zero
All safety rates will be calculated by AICC using each company’s signed OSHA 300A form submitted with the application.
Companies wishing to participate must submit their application, fee, and signed 2025 OSHA 300A no later than Friday, March 20, 2026.
AICC encourages all eligible member companies to take part in the program and celebrate the safety of their teams.
